Audition Process
Anyone wanting to be considered for the Participant or Fellow Class must submit a CD containing the required repertoire (here). The top 8 players (6 tenors and 2 basses) will make up the participant class. These players will receive coaching and lessons with Joseph Alessi throughout the event. The Fellow Class will consist of up to 16 players and will attend similar classes coached by Peter Ellefson in addition to observing the Participant classes with Joseph Alessi.
The Auditor Class is open to anyone - no audition required. In addition to observing the Participant Masterclasses, the Auditors will have the opportunity to observe the Fellow Classes as well as participate in masterclasses and trombone choir rehearsals led by Jonathan Whitaker. There will also be a special masterclass for the Auditors led by Joseph Alessi and Peter Ellefson.
Application deadline for the Participant and Fellow program is March 15, 2011. Notifications of acceptance will be sent via email by April 15, 2011.
